Investigation of the Mechanical Properties of Aluminum Alloys for Precision Casting,

Abstract

Studies have shown that the mechanical properties of gagarin samples, cast by the lost-wax process, are increased if the molds are filled at the shop temperature. A reduction of mechanical properties is observed for aluminum alloys (when pouring aluminum alloys into heated molds) as a result of the decomposition of the solid solution and the coagulation of particles of silicon. Also, a more coarse-grained structure is seen.
