Chemical Wastes Generated by Air Force Photographic Operations.

Abstract

A questionnaire survey of wastes generated by photographic processing was conducted. The questionnaire was sent to all Air Force major command civil engineers and all independent organizations for dissemination. This report includes all the responses received from bases in the CONUS, overseas, and Air National Guard units. Data concerning total rinse water volumes, type of silver recovery, ferricyanide bleach regeneration, and method of disposal have been extracted and compiled. A sample questionnaire and a tabularized presentation of the data are given. Only those categories that serve as a means of outlining the most critical parameters of photographic wastes were selected and compiled.
