Transverse Curvature Effects in Flows Along Corners and on Wavy Walls,

Abstract

The report investigates incompressible laminar flow in a corner and along a wavy wall. An asymptotic flow illustrates the effects of wall curvature. Expressions are obtained that relate skin friction and heat transfer to the inner curvature of the corner and the intensity of mass transfer at the surface. Comparisons are made to define a domain in which the solution to theory provides an adequate approximation. (Author)
