Abstract

The report contains approximately 965 references dealing with the role of the vestibular apparatus in compressed air work. The references are sorted by subject matter into six categories: Vestibular symptomatology as a sign of decompression sickness; Clinical investigation of vestibular symptomatology; Tests of positive function of vestibular apparatus; Perceptual illusions occasioned by the environment; The use of the vestibular system as an inertial guidance system; Auditory studies which have relevance for understanding vestibular function underwater.
