On One Method of Relief Representation and the Possibility of Automating It (Ob Odnom Sposobe Izobrazheniya Relefa i Vozmozhnosti ego Avtomatizatsii),
Abstract
The paper contains a presentation of a simple practical method to automate and represent relief drawings. The method provides automatic engraving of contour lines with thickening of the lines in the lightest and darkest places. A method of 'drawing' contour lines with a laser beam on a photographic base is discussed, along with its drawbacks and advantages. (Author)
