An Analysis of the Feasibility of Using Category II Test Data to Improve Provisioning Estimates.

Abstract

Provisioning estimates under present procedures have been subject to criticism as a result of inaccuracies which have occurred in the provisioning process. Inaccuracies occur as a result of the many unknowns which exist at the time provisioning takes place. The authors of the thesis sought to improve the provisioning process by reducing these unknowns through a systematic analysis of Category 2 data, which is not currently used in the provisioning process. Tabular and graphical presentations of the results are displayed; an analysis is made. Following this analysis, the authors draw conclusions and make their recommendations for improving the provisioning process. (Author)
