Intrinsic Bandwidth of Cyclotron Resonance in the Geomagnetic Field.

Abstract

Equatorial resonance between electrons and VLF signals is characterized by an intrinsic bandwidth approximately 20 Hz at L = 3, owing to the inhomogeneity of B. The corresponding interaction time (approximately 50 msec) approximates the length of a Morse dot. (Author)
