Amplitude Analysis of Random Processes with Cyclical Stresses,

Abstract

The principle of amplitude analysis (breakdown into elementary cycles) is formulated for the realizations of a wideband random process in connection with the problem of the mechanical fatigue of structures acted upon by random forces. An approximate solution is obtained for the amplitude distribution of the elementary cycles of a normal steady state wide band process, the solution being valid for large amplitude values. (Author)
