A Study to Improve the Present Method of Reporting and Analyzing Packaging Deficiencies.

Abstract

Military packaging plays an important role in all the functions of logistics. An effective packaging deficiency reporting and analysis system is necessary for the optimum management of packaging activities. A review, description, and an analysis were undertaken to improve the present packaging deficiency reporting and analysis methodology. The limiting dimensions which have an impact upon effective packaging deficiency reporting and analysis were outlined. A proposed reporting device was recommended to simplify, facilitate, and mechanize the packaging deficiency reporting process. Different management techniques that could be used to analyze packaging deficiencies at command levels were presented. (Author)
