Advances in the Development of Continuous Processes during Additive Production,

Abstract

Continuous processes were developed for treating SCl2 with thermal cracking kerosine components to prepare bis(chloroalkyl) sulfide intermediates and for alkylation of PHOH by polymer distaillates in the presence of an aluminosilicate catalyst. The resulting alkylphenols were condensed with HCHO, and optionally, the condensation product was treated with P2S5 to form dithiophosphate diesters. Either product was neutralized by Ba(OH)2 or CaO to produce the lubricating oil additives AzNII-7 an BFK, respectively. (Author)
