Combined Optimization of the Electrical and Structural Parameters of an Integrated Circuit,

Abstract

Integrated circuits can be optimized by the conditional extremum method, because the electrical parameters and permissible modes of the components are continuous functions of the parameters of the technological process. It is advisable to use the parameters of the technological process as input (primary) parameters. The boundary of the region of valid integrated circuits is calculated in their space (further serving as the condition of optimization) and it is assigned in the form of the function of the criterion of optimization (productivity, cost, dimensions).
