Use of Fuels and Lubricants Requires Specialized Personnel,

Abstract

The field of application of fuels and lubricants requires the training of experts of various levels. At least two kinds of specialization are necessary: the application of liquid and gaseous fuels as a separate field of thermotechnics and motorism as well as tribology and the technique of lubrication. The author describes the condition of such development in some European countries. Numerous institutes and laboratories for tribology and for the application of fuels were founded in the last few years usually with universities and advanced engineering schools as well as in oil and motor industry.
