Question of the Influence of the Inclination Angle of Grooves on the Bearing Capacity of a Gas-Dynamic Thrust Bearing with a Herringbone Relief,

Abstract

The influence of supporting surface relief shape of a slide bearing on its bearing capacity is studied. Analysis is made on the basis of the Reynolds PH-linearized equation. Recommendations are made for the selection of an inclination angle for herringbone grooves with a sinusoidal profile. (Author)
