Method of Preparing a Multifunctional Oil Additive,

Abstract

Multifunctional additives for lubricants were prepared by treating alkylphenols with chloral and treating the resulting product with P2S5. To increase the effectiveness of the additive, the product was also treated with polyformaldehyde. (Author)
