Two-Cavity Klystron Parameter Optimization,

Abstract

The report presents an analysis of electron bunching in the drift area of powerful two-cavity klystrons via one-dimensional approximation using an electron beam disk model over a wide range of beam parameter variation. It has been shown that in a certain region of space charge parameter variation the consideration of nonlinear effects associated with Coulomb forces leads to improved characteristics of the buncher, an additional increase in the first current harmonic, a decrease in the electron velocity spread, and improved quality function.
