Investigation of the Parallel Operation of Redundant Computers,

Abstract

A redundant computer system should allow matched operation of composite digital computers in different modes, so that their usage is optimal. The article introduces a quantitative characteristic of the effectiveness of a computer system, including the parameters of reliability and repairability of machines, and also considering the quality of the distribution of the load between them. This allows a prior estimate of the effectiveness of solution of various classes of problems and structural organization to be produced. (Author)
