Influence of Glycerol on the Properties and Structure of Lithium Greases Based on 12-Hydroxystearic Acid,

Abstract

During the production of greases based on the soaps of natural acids, glycerol, which separates during the saponification of the glycerides of fatty acids, is introduced into their composition. Its presence can substantially affect the properties of these greases. The authors studied the influence of glycerol on the structure and properties of lithium greases based on the soaps of 12-hydroxystearic acid (HSA).
