Infrared Line Shape Study Using a Tunable 2.01micron He-Xe Laser.

Abstract

A tunable laser spectroscopy experiment using a magnetically tuned He-Xe laser at 2.02 micrometers is described. CO2 absorption spectra were measured over a 0.18/cm band near the laser frequency. A laser line width of less than 0.00067/cm was achieved. Line widths of CO2 were measured in the near Dopppler pressure region (0.5 5o 3.0 torr) and excellent agreement with Voight profile theory was achieved. (Author)
