Ground Vibrations during Camouflet Blasts,

Abstract

Ground vibrations in the study of seismic effect to date are measured mainly by exploding for heave or for loosening. Camouflet blasting, which only recently became used for practical purposes, was not included in seismographic observations. Therefore, the wave pattern and vibration intensity as a function of the depth of a charge were studied only in a relatively narrow interval of depths. (Author)
