Luminescence in Zinc Sulfide.

Abstract

Experiments are reported concerning the photoelectroluminescence emission in ZnS. A well-defined equation has been obtained about the brightness voltage dependence; it is justified through a simple kinetic investigation based on a model for the electroluminescent process already reported. Evidence is also gained against the Fischer model. An apparatus to perform the measurements of fluorescence spectra during the decay of the photoluminescent emission is described. It succeeds in providing a digital recording of the spectra for times ranging between 10 ms to several seconds. (Author)
