High-Frequency Focusing of Electrons in an Electron-Ion Beam,

Abstract

A previous paper examined high-frequency focusing in a linear accelerator which appears as a result of the presence of the reflected wave, and also gave a survey of the different methods of high-frequency focusing developed by a number of authors. In the present paper an examination is made of focusing of high-frequency electrons which are used for the confinement of ions in a lateral direction. (Author)
