New Composition of a Coolant-Lubricant for Grinding of Glass,

Abstract

Research has been conducted concerning various coolant-lubricants for the purpose of selecting the optimum composition for performing thin layer grinding of glass with a diamond cutter. Test compositions of emulsols were tried which had been prepared using a sodium-sulfonate base and sulfo acids with kerosene, glycerine, paraffin, castor oil, and other additives. Various passifying agents were added to the emulsols.
