Investigation of Low-Frequency Raman Spectra of Solid Solutions with H-Bonds,

Abstract

The Raman spectra of 2,4-dichloro-6-bromo(I) and 2,6-dibromo-4-chlorophenol(II) crystals and their solid solutions were measured to determine the effect of specific interactions, particularly the formation of H-bonds, on the character of the lattice vibration spectra. The number of lines, their widths, and their intensities in the Raman spectra of I and II are similar, which indicates that they have the same crystal structure. (Author)
