The Fundamental Infrared Spectrum of the Ammonium Ion in Aqueous Solutions.

Abstract

The infrared spectra of a number of aqueous ammonium salt and other salt solutions were measured using internal reflection techniques employing a Fourier transform spectrometer. The presence of dissolved salts can lead to an antifact in the infrared spectrum of water. (Author)
