Foil Bearing Investigation - Dynamic Analysis of Externally Pressurized Foil Bearings.

Abstract

Analysis of the dynamic behavior of externally pressurized foil bearings is presented. From it, responses to arbitrary disturbances or initial conditions may be deduced. Graphical results for the film response to step reduction in tension and to a moving pressurization source are shown. (Author)
