The HN3 + CO2 Laser: an Analytical and Experimental Investigation.

Abstract

A detailed description of the reaction mechanisms involved in the HN3 + CO2 laser is presented. The explosive decomposition of HN3 and the resulting laser gain have been analytically modeled to gain an insight into the potential of the laser. In addition, an experimental investigation has been conducted in order to determine the existence of laser action and applicability of the model.
