Spline Surfaces.

Abstract

The general problem of representing disk-like surfaces is analyzed using bicubic splines. This is made possible via the introduction of a number of coordinate transformations. The representations obtained use cardinal splines which are considered in detail. Consideration is given to the use of intrinsic coordinates and also to the imposition of a uniform mesh. (Author)
