The Effect of Methylene Blue and Progesterone Addition to Blood in the Presence of Adenine and Inosine on the Levels of 2,3-Diphosphoglycerate and Adenosine Triphosphate.

Abstract

Of the combinations tried, the admixture of methylene blue, progesterone, adenine and inosine maintained 2,3-diphosphoglycerate and adenosine triphosphate at high levels in citrate-phosphate-dextrose blood for a storage period of 6 weeks, about equal to those of the control values on the day of collection.
