Video Graphics Performance Evaluation--Before and After Implementation,

Abstract

The performance of an on-line system can be considered from the viewpoint of the user -- whether or not the system meets each user's peculiar needs. Many of the papers presented at the Technical Symposium on time-sharing and Multi-Access computing in the 70s adopted this viewpoint. The paper, however, is on the performance of such systems in terms of the interactions of their hardware and software. Specifically, a comparison is given of hardware/software performance evaluation before system implementation with evaluation after implementation.
