The Hydrodynamics and Kinetics of Multiply-Ionized Confined Weakly-Absorbing Laser Plasma,

Abstract

The kinetics of multiple ionization of matter in a field of powerful laser radiation, without consideration of hydrodynamic motion, had been examined in a previous paper. In this paper the results of the previous paper are generalized to the case when hydrodynamic motion of the plasma can play an essential role, i.e., in essence, consideration of hydrodynamics reduces the restriction on the pulse duration.
