The Determination of Sulfur Oxides in Stack Gases. Barium Chloride Titration Method.

Abstract

An analytical technique is described for determining the SO2 concentration in flue gases. In the method, SO2 is absorbed by a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, the particulates filtered, and the solution titrated with barium chloride to precipitate barium sulfate.
