The Determination of Meropa Oil No. 6. Fluorescence Method.

Abstract

Meropa Oil No. 6 is a heavy viscous aliphatic hydrocarbon oil containing 2% lead compounds. It was found to be fluorescent when exposed to ultraviolet light. Its quantitative determination was performed using a fluorometer. The solvent was low-fluorescent chloroform. The techniques used are described.
