Investigation of Plastic Lubricants Based on IR-Absorption Spectra,

Abstract

An increase in temperature of preparing the complex Ca lubricants results in a change of their IR spectrum in the 1580 to 1540/cm region. The absorption band undergoes the change at a temperature of one of the phase transitions of Ca stearate due to its structural alterations. The lubricant autoxidation under performance conditions can be followed by the IR absorption at 3300 to 400 and 1700 to 40/cm. (Author)
