Loran-D 400-Foot Antenna Modification and Configuration Study.

Abstract

The original Loran-D Transmitter Station used a 300-foot tall transmitting antenna. The purpose of the project was to determine the increase in radiated power attainable by raising the antenna to 400 feet, and to determine if the 400-foot tower was designed, constructed, and erected, and various calculations and measurements were performed to determine its electrical characteristics.
