Quick-Look Radiation Charts.
Abstract
APS), (*DOSE RATE, MAPS), NUCLEAR EXPLOSIONS, NEUTRON FLUX, GRAPHICS, INSTRUCTION MANUALSGRAPHS(CHARTS)Presented are a collection of charts and instructions on their use that may be used to obtain estimates of the radiation levels resulting from the detonation of a nuclear weapon. They may be used to determine neutron fluence and dose, gamma fluence and dose, prompt gamma dose rate, and combined neutron and gamma doses in several different types of units. The charts were developed using neutron and gamma spectra and pulse widths such as to be representative of conventional nuclear weapons. The report is intended to be an easy-to-use reference for use in obtaining preliminary estimates where radiation parameters are used as input to systems analysis problems. (Author)
