The Army Equipment and Record System (TAERS) Data Information on Utilization and Maintenance of 5- and 10-kw Engine-Generators in Vietnam in 1969,

Abstract

The study analyzes all available Army TAERS data covering 5- and 10-kw engine-generators operated in Vietnam during the first 9 months of 1969. The data have been edited and analyzed with the help of a computer in order to provide information on the amount of equipment covered by the data sample, equipment availability, utilization, overhaul rate, organizational and intermediate manhours, component failure/replacement rates, and time elements in the intermediate maintenance cycle.
