Replicative Complexes of Some RNA Viruses,

Abstract

Replication complexes (RC) of Venezuelan equine encephalomyelitis virus (VEE). Newcastle disease virus (NDV) and Sendai virus were studied. They represent replicative intermediates associated with virus-specific polymerases. VEE has one RC, while NDV and Sendai viruses have two RC's in different cell iractions, which produce different RNA species. Once formed the RC's become autonomous and provide for the RNA synthesis in cell-free systems. (Author)
