Studies of Instructional Technology Relating to Computer-Assisted Instruction.

Abstract

Experimental and methodological investigations are reported on learning phenomena and psychometric methods relevant to instructional technology and computer-assisted instruction. The report describes accomplishments and presents a listing of reports and products produced. The work is reported in terms of five areas of effort: Adaptation of instructional environments to the learning characteristics of the individual trainee; Computer testing, computer algorithms, and languages for experimental instructional systems; Exploration of techniques for learner manipulation of subject matter; The development of concepts and techniques for the analysis of subject-matter structures; and Annual conferences on developments in learning relevant to instruction and development.
