High Temperature Generator Component Development.

Abstract

A selective investigation and study effort of generator designs, insulations, magnetic materials, diodes, and rotor bonding for operation in a 600F ambient is described. Also described is the disassembly and examination of a 5 KVA generator built on a previous program. These efforts lead to the recommendation of a wound rotor generator configuration for development of a 60 kVA, 600F generator. (Author)
