High Temperature Eutectic Composite and Its Modification.

Abstract

The present investigation attempted to improve the ductility of eutectic alloy NieAl (gamma')-Ni3Cb(delta) by compositional modification, to produce further increases in high temperature strength by alloying, to evaluate the mechanical anisotropy of the eutectic, to demonstrate diffusion bonding the composite and to develop procedures for forming protective coatings.
