A Study of the Change in Thickness of the Oil Layer in Oil-Film Bearings in Sheet Mills,

Abstract

An equation was formulated for the movement of the oil film bearing with respect to the bushing to account for the inertial force, viscous force of the liquid and the load lifting force exerted by the bearing with the movement of the pin. The equation is used as a basis for plotting an electronic model for the oil film bearing to study the behavior of rolling mill bearings, their effect on the nature of the load applied to the drive and the value of strain in the mill stand.
