The State of Water in Certain Crystal Hydrates of Lithium Salts,

Abstract

The IR adsorption spectra (700-4000/cm) of crystal hydrates of lithium salts were studied. A reference of the frequencies was made. An estimate of the effect of the hydrogen bonds on the proton-donor characteristics of the molecules of the crystallization water, is given. The effect of the nature of the anion on the strength of the hydrogen bonds in the investigated salts is discussed. (Author)
