Electronic Spectra and Structure of Large Molecules and Crystals

Abstract

The report summarized research on the following: The study of the electronic spectrum of benzophenone crystals; The study of the low temperature spectra of a number of ketones which showed perturbations, in the form of line broadening; and The difference in linewidths for the singlet and triplet states of benzophenone which was used to determine a value of intersystem crossing rate constant.
