General Trends in Guided Missile Development,

Abstract

The authors discuss the general trends in guided missile development. Since World War 2 technical development in weapons has done much to promote the future development of guided missile systems. The development of missile systems has also necessitated research into launching sites and their use. Research studies are being conducted on range capability, speed, altitude, weight, accuracy, guidance, warheads and cost. The guided missile is a major military weapon to be reckoned with in a future war. Missile development has advanced rapidly and is playing an increased military role. (Author)
