The Eletrokinetic and Optical Characteristics of Plasma in a Discharge in Helium When Using Resonant Neutralization of Helium Ions on Tantalum,

Abstract

The effect of a tantalum surface bounding the lateral surface of a positive discharge column in helium at pressure of 1-3 mm Hg and currents of 1-600 mA in a tube with a diameter of 10 cm upon the electrical concentrations and 'temperatures' of electrons was experimentally investigated, and the radial distribution of atoms in states of 2 singlet S(0) and 2 triplet S was also investigated.
