Structure of the Turbulent Mixing Layer,

Abstract

Results of an experimental study of turbulent mixing between two streams of different density are summarized. The effects of density difference in flows at low Mach number are compared to those due to compressibility effects at high Mach number. The mixing layer at low Mach number is examined for large vortex structures. (Author)
