Some Factors Affecting Moisture Content-Density-Cone Index Relations,
Abstract
The test program was conducted for the general purpose of adding to information already available relative to laboratory-determined moisture-density-cone index relations in fine-grained soils and furthering the understanding of this subject. The specific purpose of the present study was to determine what effect certain methods of handling soil samples before they are compacted and tested would have on moisture-density-cone index relations, if the compaction technique was kept constant.
