An Analytical and Experimental Study of Thermal Ratcheting,

Abstract

A three-bar assembly was used to simulate experimentally ratcheting behavior of loaded structural components subjected to non-uniform thermal cycling. The existing theories have been extended, and a high degree of correlation is obtained between the improved theory and experimental results. (Author)
