Cyclically Induced Mechanical Hysteresis of a Glass Fiber-Reinforced Plastic,

Abstract

FRP/epoxy unidirectional specimens under axial tensile-compressive cyclic loading at an angle of 45 degrees to the fiber direction exhibited measurable hysteresis. The behavior of the hysteresis with cyclic loading was reported and the usefulness of this technique as a non-destructive testing tool discussed. (Author, modified-PL)
