A Facility to Evaluate Three-Dimensional Performance of House Modules.

Abstract

An experimental facility was developed to mechanically evaluate strength and elastic properties in three dimensions of house modules up to 8 x 12 x 24 feet. The facility consists of a structural steel framework, a system to apply loads simulating service conditions, and an electronic system for acquiring data. The facility has been used satisfactorily to evaluate components of house modules. (Author)
